MUM Mum was always a 'people person'. Material possessions, television, expensive clothes and the like were not of great interest to her, except, of course, where they had association with family and valued friends. Mum had her strong faith, her family, her many friends, and latterly her helpers and carers, all of which provided interest, meaning and comfort in her life. Mum had empathy and a caring personality. She took an interest in people’s lives and would make you feel better about yourself. Mum devoted her energy and time to family, friends and the church. She gave everything as a mother, and was always there for ‘her boys’. And even as she aged, and her physical strength declined, she kept giving in love, emotional support and care right up to her final days. That's why it was so much easier for us all to give back to mum. So to all of you who gave her friendship, love, care and support, we say to you the words that she always said - THANK YOU.
